Big museum in beautiful neoclassical building located in a huge park on top of the hill. Finding it was a bit difficult, but when you finally come there it provides magnificent view and place for spending your free time (many people come here for sport activities).
Three floors of mostly classical art (13-18th century) houses works by Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian and Vasari among others. Masterpieces include:
-Madonna & Child & two angels by Botticelli
-Misanthrope by Pieter Bruegel
-Portrait of Alessandro Franese by Rafael
-Blind leading the blind by Pieter Bruegel
-The Flagellation by Caravaggio
-Danae by Titian
List is long, providing this museum important place in every art-lover's itinerary. There is no cafe/resto in museum, so don't forget to bring along your refreshments. I suggest buying Artecard if you plan to visit more than couple of museums.
You may also walk back to the city, but be prepared for Gradini Capodimonte, late baroque park equipped with stairs that became a junkie spot: watch your step, and look around you (they are taking it right there) it might be scary if you haven't ever seen people under influence.
