Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam

Museumstraat 1, Amsterdam, Netherlands  Website

Two words.

You.
Should.

No, four: You should, without hesitation.

No Amsterdam trip should pass without visit to this museum. Did I hear "Why"? Because there are few of the masterpieces that really should be seen in reality, to understand why they are in all art history encyclopedias. Take a look here to see what I mean:

No it is not small, it takes few hours to go through it (be smart and buy tickets in advance, and print out the plans of all floors, then mark the desired artworks on them, it will save time if you're tight with it). No it is not easy to orient inside, but hey, how cool is to get lost in a museum? It is not cheap, but it's worth every eurocent.
When you get hungry there's a cafeteria, with very tasty and expensive food: I had beef sandwich and a beer. Excellent!

How steampunk is this Library?

Food for your mouth after food for your eyes.
