Asklepion, Kos

“Don't leave without visit”

5 of 5 stars

The most famous monument on Kos, stands on a hill slopes just few kilometers west of Kos town. Huge complex dated third century BC and later, used as a stone query in medieval times and rediscovered in early 20th century. Consists of three large terraces, each leading you onto another level. Still under major archaeological/restorative works it gives you an idea of what kind of magnificent place it used to be in the past. Very photogenic place, you'll shot (at least) 200 photos here, and have a great view to Asia Minor. I also recommend to be there before noon for the lovely shades and breeze that provides feel of freshness.
Be patient with parking if you're coming by yourself, a place will appear eventually.
